At any of our four wine trail locations, you may pick up a listing of places we recommend - restaurants, inns, places to visit, people to see. We will gladly assist you with reservations and directions to any of our recommended dining locales, from the extremely casual down-home right behind - the - railroad - tracks kind of place, (great crab legs at Harry’s in Elkin on Friday and Saturday nights!) to the more elegant continental cuisine with loads of ambiance restaurant (6th and Main in Wilkesboro).
In our little corner of the country, we do have ethnic restaurants - Chinese, Italian, Mexican, and others. In addition, of course, the ubiquitous faster-food suspects… or pack your picnic basket with goodies from our tasting rooms or stock up on Deli sandwiches and homemade baked goods at the Amish-owned Shiloh Bakery and Deli on Windsor Road in our Valley. You don’t have to be in Pennsylvania to drive through Amish Country. We have a settlement right here in the Swan Creek Valley.
The cities of Winston-Salem (only 30 minutes from Swan Creek), and Wilkesboro and Elkin (15 minutes away), offer a multitude of dining experiences, B&B’s, hotels, places of interest and events year-round. Check their websites below for further information. Here are a few samples of places we recommend:
